Counselling Courses through Ridgeway College Accredited Training College Due to the success of the launch of the Introduction to Counsellings Skills course last September and in January 2011, we are offering the course again for April and September 2011. Introduction to Counselling Course Level 1 Starting in April & September 2011 The course will teach you the basic knowledge you need to understand just what counselling really is We will introduce you to the skills of Active Listening, Paraphrasing, Transference, Empathy, Congruence, and Unconditional Positive Regard. You will be given an introduction to the theorists, Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung, Albert Ellis, Carl Rogers, Eric Berne and others. We will look at the models of counselling such as Psychodynamic, Person Centred, Cognitive, Behavioural and Rational Emotive.
